This electronic version of of the study guide allows the individual student to proceed through the questions in any order, find out immediately whether his or her answer is right or wrong, and be referred to the print manual for correct answers as necessary. Most questions are in the same multiple-choice format that is used on civil service and certification examinations. The program also tracks the results of each session as a record of progress. Each time a student goes through the program, the questions are rearranged randomly to prevent answering correctly through rote memorization.

Each lesson includes detailed lecture and lesson outlines, skill evaluation checklists, and customizable PowerPoint® slide presentations. The outlines are provided in Microsoft Word® and are customizable so that instructors can modify lessons to reflect their own teaching preferences or local procedures. The slide presentations can be modified to match any changes in the outline. In addition, the slide presentations contain photos and illustrations from the manual.
All of the files on this CD-ROM may be viewed from the disc or copied to a computer hard drive. (It is necessary to copy the files in order to customize them.)
