Ohio Fire - Departments

The Ohio Fire Academy (OFA) has teamed up with Action Training Systems to bring to you, even more, continuing education offerings at a dramatically reduced price. This includes access for all Ohio fire departments, EMS agencies, firefighters, and emergency responders.

Paid access includes two choices that contain the complete lineup (186-course hours) of Action Training Systems’ Interactive Courses from their Fire, EMS, and Industrial Fire Brigades catalogs. One with basic completion certificates that can be used to supplement initial certification, or recurring training, while the “CAPCE” version contains 63-hours of accredited content for EMS CE. When you register for the CAPCE-version, you’ll be required to enter additional fields upon registration that includes your state EMS or NREMT license number and expiration date. Each fire course has been developed in accordance with the NFPA, and each EMS course developed in accordance with the National EMS Education Standards.

While each course is approved by the OFA to meet continuing education and professional development requirements in Ohio, these courses can be also used to supplement the initial certification process, and correlate with publications from IFSTA, Jones & Bartlett/AAOS, and Pearson/Brady.

ATS has built a reputation for creating high-quality training videos for the fire service industry over the past 30 years and is still going strong. OH emergency service responders will now be able to participate in trackable online interactive courseware from any place, at any time with an internet connection, for a nominal fee. Individuals and groups are welcome to sign-up! For groups, access to the administrative user interface is available for tracking user progress at no additional cost.
