The Basics of Rapid Intervention

This 3-title series, The Basics of Rapid Intervention, provides an introduction to the operations and techniques used by rapid intervention crews. The series was developed using NFPA^©1400: Standard on Fire Service Training and presents preparedness and predeployment concepts used on the fireground. Included are best practices in radio communications, MAYDAY activation as well as self-rescue techniques, air management, and the use of thermal imaging cameras.
